| Hundreds of original photos in the collection document the role of tennis in society in the past 70 years. Photos of past champions, celebrity and tennis and newswire action photos are part of the collection.
Centered among past winners is an identical original of the ladies Wimbledon trophy. The "Venus Rosewater Dish" trophy has no tennis motif and several of these were made in France in the 1880s. Very few of these are known to still exist. Today's Wimbledon trophy was gilded at a later time. |
